PrimariesForPalin.com aims to nominate Sarah Palin as the Republican presidential candidate by encouraging Democrats and Independents to purposefully vote for her in state primaries. In head-to-head polls with President Barack Obama, Palin consistently fares worse than other possible Republican candidates because of her divisiveness. If Palin is nominated, Obama has a much better chance of winning reelection in November 2012.
sleeplessinsouthie: I’m seriously considering unaffiliating from the democratic party so I can vote for her in the primary.
jasencomstock: that would be really funny if you voted for Palin and she beat Obama. really funny.
nebraska-admiral: Remember when Reagan was the looney far right candidate that Carter’s team dreamed of running against?
This is why I won’t vote for Democrats anymore. This is why I gave up on John McCain (even though I wasn’t going to vote for him and even though I would have given up on him after all the DADT bullshit). Because you’re willing to risk the fate of America and everything else on the back of an idiot among the most militant in our lifetime just for a win.
As a Democrat, by voting for Palin, you’re encouraging the Republicans to eventually screw the Dems by voting in an inferior candidate for them the next time they get an opportunity. Then the Dems retaliate. Then the Reps retaliate. Then eventually we’re voting in the smartest of the dumbest monkeys (which, I suppose, is arguably not far from where we are right now).
Let the Republicans screw themselves. Highlight their idiocy and incompetence, not our own.
I agree with littletinyfish. No good will come from gaming the system.
